Cancellation Policy

We generally have full appointment lists and have customers waiting for a cancellation so we kindly ask our customers if they need to cancel their appointment to give 24 hours notice. This allows other customers waiting to be offered an appointment. The financial impact of last minute cancellations to a small business like Mud Magnets can be significant.  Therefore, to protect the business, in the event that Mud Magnets are unable to fill the appointment in the time after the cancellation, customers will be required to pay a cancellation fee of the cost of the service that has been cancelled.

Customers supplying a mobile contact number will be sent an automated text reminder of their appointment 48 hours prior to the appointment which we anticipate will prevent the majority of last minute cancellations. Please call the business number 07955 279492 or email to cancel.

Failure to Attend Appointment

In addition to the Cancellation Policy outlined above, customers who have made a booking and then fail to attend the salon at the time of the appointment will be required to pay the cost of the service booked.

Non-Payment

We accept payment by Debit/Credit card, cheque, cash and bank transfer to Mud Magnets business account. The grooming bill must be payed in full at the end of the appointment. If, in exceptional circumstances, it has not been possible to provide full payment on conclution of the grooming appointment, a reminder letter will be sent 7 days following non-payment and a further 7 days will be given for payment to be made.

Grooming Specific

The customer should inform the groomer of any health or skin conditions in advance of the dogs appointment

On arrival for the appointment, should the dog be found to have fleas, Mud Magnets reserves the right to refuse a grooming service but will offer another appointment following treatment to eradicate the flea infestation

Should the dog be found to have fleas during the grooming session, the customer will be contacted immediately, informed of the situation and offered a flea bath service at an additional charge. If declined then the appointment will be terminated

During the booking process or on attendance at appointment, the customer must inform the groomer of any behavioural problems exhibited by the dog. Examples may include anxiety, fearfulness, aggression or previous problems reported during grooms with other grooming businesses. This is to ensure that the dog is provided with the appropriate care during the appointment. The customer must except that the dog's welfare comes first and not the compulsion to have a groom completed. The groom experience is completely gauged on the limitations of the dog's willingness to be groomed and maintaining the dog's welfare. Therefore no dog will be forced or pushed to have a groom completed when the dog displays anxiety, fear or aggression that endangers the dog or the groomer. The groom will be stopped and owner contacted to return to discuss and collect their dog. A willingness to work with any dog experiencing a reluctance to be groomed is offered to any dog following an assessment and discussion with the owner. If assistance is requested by the owner then the dog will be invited to a programme of desensitisation grooming appointments. Further information can be provided on request.

Mud Magnets will not provide a grooming service to dogs where the owner has administered sedation to the dog. The grooming service will be discontinued immediately if a dog is suspected of having been sedated and the owner will be contacted.
New customers are invited to read, accept and sign the business terms and conditions before using our service.

We have the right to refuse our services if we feel it not in the customer or animal's interest or safety without prejudice.

Appointments at Mud Magnets require to be pre-booked and are subject to availability. New customers booking online will be contacted for an initial consultation to discuss their grooming appointment and will be expected to pay a deposit of half the cost of the service booked to secure the booking.
